I cannot remember a time when baseball was not a part of my life. I started playing this incredible game at the young age of two years old. The oldest memory I have of beginning to play was going out in the backyard with my foam bat and ball and my dad throwing me pitches while I would hit the ball as far as I could. Baseball has always brought me joy since the first day I played it and that joy has grown even more over the past 16 years.
Over those 16 years, I have managed to accomplish what not many baseball players are able to. Throughout my Little League career, I was able to win two championship titles, appear in the state tournament for all-stars, and win many travel tournaments in travel baseball. In my high school career, I was able to play against some of the best competition in the country at P27 Academy in South Carolina. I also received many accolades during my high school travel baseball career playing for the East Coast Lumberjacks. I was invited to very exclusive events such as Perfect Game National, the Area Code Games, and the MLB Draft Combine. Most importantly, I have developed as a baseball player, and as a man. I have also forged bonds with many people throughout these first 16 years of my career that will last a lifetime.
Being a smaller kid I have always been looked at as the underdog. Overlooked by many people and being judged for not being tall enough or strong enough to withstand the wear and tear of the game. Proving people wrong has always been my biggest strong suit. It fuels the fire for me to outwork everyone else and strive to be the greatest version of myself I can be. The support from my parents and the coaches who have been there for me has been a huge reason for my success and I can’t thank them enough.
I have also picked up YouTube as a way to interact with people who are interested in what it is like to live a day in the life of a high school baseball player and now a Division 1 baseball player. Creating content for my fans and viewers is something that I really love doing. In my college career, my goal is to win a National Championship at Notre Dame. I am excited for the upcoming season and cannot wait to get out on the field and compete with my teammates. Go Irish!
